2026 is a year in which the United States looks backward and forward at the same time. Two hundred and fifty years have passed since the Declaration of Independence was adopted in Philadelphia. A quarter of a millennium is an unusually long measure for a commercial institution, yet it is also a useful reminder that enduring economic relationships are built over time: through trust, investment, work, infrastructure, innovation and the ability to adapt when circumstances change.

Rochefort & Co. operates in that tradition of long-horizon enterprise. We are a private, independent commercial firm focused on commodities, energy, strategic materials and cross-border relationships. Our work is practical. We seek to understand the underlying transaction, identify the relevant counterparties, organize the information and support disciplined communication through the commercial process.

The United States remains an important reference point for our outlook. In 2026, the country is commemorating its 250th anniversary while operating under the administration of President Donald J. Trump. American energy, capital markets, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, logistics and national-security priorities influence international markets, and Rochefort & Co. follows these developments as part of its market work rather than presenting itself as a governmental or political organization.

For us, the significance of America at 250 is ultimately about continuity and responsibility. The country has moved through independence, industrialization, war, technological revolutions, financial crises and extraordinary periods of economic expansion. Each generation has inherited infrastructure, institutions and productive capacity from the one before it and has been asked to improve what comes next.

That principle informs our own approach. We want Rochefort & Co. to be known for clarity rather than noise, for relationships rather than transactions alone, and for commercial discipline rather than promises. A serious opportunity should withstand questions about product, specification, quantity, origin, destination, logistics, financing and contractual structure.

Under my leadership as CEO & Chairman, Rochefort & Co. is being developed with a long-term perspective: international in reach, commercially focused and attentive to the importance of the United States in global trade, energy and capital formation. We intend to build a firm whose reputation compounds through accurate information, confidentiality, responsiveness and professional conduct.

America's 250th anniversary is not a claim of affiliation for Rochefort & Co.; it is a moment in which we recognize the extraordinary history surrounding the markets in which we operate.
